What are Big Sisters For?

When Emma got really quiet for a few minutes we knew we were in for a surprise. We had no idea that Brice was going to be surprised, too! Everybody sleeps better with a couple of babies to snuggle with...don't they?

Just Think

Jerry and Dorothy sent us an incredibly nice card yesterday with the following thoughts by Roy Lessin. I think they are a perfect reminder as to how special each new child is. We are so blessed!

Your son is here not by chance, but by God's choosing.

His hand formed him and made him the person he is.

God compares him to no one else - he is one of a kind.

Your son will lack nothing that God's grace can't give him.

God has allowed your son to be here at this time in history to fulfull His special purpose for this generation.

May the FORCE Be With You

Obi Wan Kenobi says "may the force be with you!" Check out Hamp's new halloween costume. To say he is excited about the costume would be the understatement of the century.

Happy Halloween

We Can Hardly Wait

We can all hardly wait until we get to see you, Brice.
Hamp and Emma are ready to be your big brother and sister.
Mommy and Daddy are ready to give you a great big hug and kiss.
Hurry up!

Big Brothers, Little Sisters

Emma really loves her "Bubba."

Hamp loves his "Emmy."

It is so wonderful to see our children becoming friends. To see Hamp watch after his little sister and Emma look up to (literally and figuratively) to her big brother.

Few things in life bring more joy than a brother and a sister genuinely loving each other.

Thank you, Lord, for our family!

Angie

Angie is such a terrific wife and mother. She is so selfless, always giving her best to ensure that her family is taken care of in every way.

She is never more beautiful than when she is pregnant. She really does have a "glow" about her! Don't you think?!?

Brice will be one lucky little guy to have her as a Mommy.

Swimming at Memaw and Pa's

Here goes Hamp's first dive off of the diving board for this summer! This one is called the cannon-ball flip :)

Camel Riding!

Hamp and Emma both love the Birmingham Zoo and this summer they are offering camel rides. Look at our Camelboy!

Jump, Emma, Jump

Emma is working overtime trying to learn how to jump. Our little gymnast even gets "some air" from time to time. Enjoy this short clip of two of her better attempts.

Introducing Brice Greer Neugent

No doubting it...it's a boy!

We wish you all could have been there to see Hamp's face when he found out he was going to have a little brother. Joy doesn't even come close.

Brice is progressing very well and measured a whopping 8 ounces. Angie has been experiencing abdominal problems lately, but we were encouraged that her white blood cell count was perfect and Doctor MacKee was very encouraging and gave us permission to request a labor room immediately if the situation worsened. Thank you, Lord for answered prayers.

Here is one last picture of Brice. We were apparantley interrupting his afternoon nap (he is sucking his right thumb with his legs crossed). Angie and I are praying that he would have Mr. Blacks sense of humor!

Fort Neugent

Well, it has taken nearly three weeks to finish and we still haven't sealed the wood yet, but, Fort Neugent is finally at a finishing point.

Much thanks to all of our helpers - Mr. Bryan, Hampton, Emma, and Mama (with an extra helping hand from Baby #3).

Here are a few pictures of the work at different stages and one picture of the finshed Fort. It has three swings, a ladder, a rock climbing wall, a pirates net, a slide, and other fun things. We are hoping to have lots of fun playing in our new fort!

Here are the latest picture of the latest model. Please continue to pray for the baby's growth and wellness and remember Angie as she completes the first trimester in just a few more weeks.

We love you!

Look What I Can Do Now!

Look where Emma can climb to now! Just this week, she discovered that she can climb all the way to the top of Hamp's bed. Look out below!!!

Our Prince and Princess

Our last post was all about baby number 3. We can never forget, though, about our first two gifts. Our little prince and princess are quite the pair!

Hamp is all about some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (aka T'NinjanTurtles).

And Emma is all girl - very interested in dress up!

Together they are a match made in heaven!

My First Pictures

Well, here they are. Number 3's first baby pictures. Angie and I were so excited to see the new baby for the first time and hear the heartbeat...nice and strong! We feel so blessed by our children and words can't even begin to express our joy over our third baby.

Please pray for Angie. She is experiencing more nausea than she has in the past. Pray that God would grant her opportunities to rest and take care of herself while still caring for Hampton and Emma.

Easter Is Coming

Today is Palm Sunday. That means that Easter is just 7 days away. It also means that we got to visit the grounds of BCBS of Alabama with Jennifer and hunt some Easter Eggs. Hamp, Emma, and all of us had a great time this Saturday at the Spring Fling BCBS puts on each year. And we celebrated Jennifer and Bryan's birthday. What fun!

Lot's of Things Have Happened

So, a great deal has happened in the Neugent family since I posted the last pictures back in October. The obvious things -- Thanksgiving, Christmas, the New Year -- and other exciting happenings -- snow...TWICE, Emma's growing vocabulary, new car for the family.

Nothing, though, tops the news that our family is expecting our third installment. We don't know the due date yet, but soon our family of four with grow to a family of five.

Angie and I are so excited about this new addition. We have always talked about having three children and God has seen fit to bless us in this wonderful way!

So what do you think it will be? A boy? A girl? What should we name the new baby? (Please keep in mind that Angie and I have full veto rights and just because you make a recommendation doesn't mean we will oblige! :)

New Beginnings

We shared with Montevallo FBC our decision to follow God's leading and move our ministry to Riverside Baptist Church this past Sunday evening. It has been a difficult decision since we love the people so much and have developed many very enjoyable and rewarding relationships, but we know this is the right thing for us and so we are eager to begin anew.
Pray for us. "Beginnings" bring with them many unknowns. Pray that the transition will be smooth for Angie. Pray that Hamp and Emma will be blessed with new friends. Pray that God would bless this step of obedience similarly to His outpourings at MFBC. Pray that MFBC would find the right person to fill thier vacancy.
